Common Questions

How do I get my API key?

Your API key is shown once when you sign up. If you lost it, you can regenerate it from your dashboard under API Key Management. Note: regenerating invalidates your old key immediately.

What happens when I hit the free tier limit?

Your account will be paused until the next month resets, or you can upgrade to Pro for unlimited receipts.

How do I upgrade to Pro?

Click Upgrade to Pro in your dashboard. You will be redirected to Stripe checkout to complete your subscription.

Can I export my audit data?

Yes. Go to your dashboard and use the Export & Reports section to download your complete receipt and verification history as signed JSON or CSV.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Email ryan@authproof.dev or use the billing portal link in your dashboard.

Is my data deleted if I cancel?

Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation, then permanently deleted per our Privacy Policy.

What is the difference between authproof and Authproof Cloud?

authproof is the open source SDK at authproof.dev — free forever, MIT licensed. Authproof Cloud is the hosted infrastructure service. The SDK handles the cryptographic receipts; the Cloud handles the log infrastructure so you don't have to run your own.

Healthcare & HIPAA
